One day down, two to go! Otakon 2009 is moving on too day 2 in Baltimore, Maryland.
At 3:00pm today, the con-chair of Otakon, Matt Smiechowski confirmed that over 10,000 people have picked up their pre-registered badge Friday.
At the opening ceremonies, we were able to meet with several guests, including Yutaka Yamamoto, Kanon Wakeshima, and many more. We also watched the MadHouse production of the Otakon animation; this is their second animation for Otakon.
Otakon this year seems to be more popular than previous years; Vidgle is estimating that 30,000 people are attending Otakon this year, but I feel like that there might be more than 32,000. Well, we will never know until the final counts on Sunday.
Tomorrow is another day and I will update you till then. I would write more and update our site with pictures, but we are having a major bandwidth and signal issue with our satellite internet connection. Of course, when we return from Otakon on Monday, we will have all updates and reviews of this year’s Otakon.
