INVADERCON ANNOUNCES DATES, GUESTS, AND LOCATION
The Invader ZIM 10th Anniversary Fan Convention is coming to Atlanta, GA in 2011
Atlanta, Georgia, January 21, 2010 – InvaderCON, a weekend long consumer focused show, will take place March 26-27, 2011 at the Marriott Century Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The event is themed around the pop culture phenomenon Invader ZIM – an animated series that (after premiering almost a decade ago) still maintains constant popularity worldwide.
The convention will feature voice actors and other talent who were involved with the show’s production from 2001-2003 along with events, a vendors room and various “ZIM” themed workshops.
DATES: The event is scheduled to take place March 26-27, 2011 – which is the exact weekend that the Invader ZIM series premiered in 2001. This makes the event a true ten year anniversary celebration.
GUESTS: InvaderCON is proud to announce that Richard Horvitz and Rosearik Rikki Simons will both be appearing the entire weekend.
Richard Horvitz was the voice of none other than Invader ZIM. Richard’s resume of voice acting is extensive and includes roles on Ben 10, Squirrel Boy, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and the voice of Alpha-5 in the original run of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He was seen recently in theaters with Matt Damon in the motion picture The Informant!

Not like the fairy tale story in Shrek, I will be attending a small anime convention in a place I never thought of before. And that place is in Arizona outside of Phoenix, the convention is Saboten-Con. It was a last minute decision because of a family emergency and the con is taking place next door where I made plans to stay.
And its only 6 days away from the con I’ve been waiting for since April, and that is Zenkaikon. And that is where I’ll report my experience from this Arizona based convention.
I-CON will be returning home to Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, for the 29th I-CON. The dates have changed to March 26 - 28. For 2009, I-CON was held at Suffolk Community College in Brentwood due to renovations in the sports complex where majority of I-CON was held.
I-CON announced lower admission prices compared to last year’s. More information can be found on their website at www.iconsf.org.
